History

- 2007: Digistar 3 (16 million pound)
- April 2012: Sky-Skan 4K (2x JVC SH7 NLG)
- 1.6 millions visitors by year (for all Royal Observatory)
- April 2019: upgrade: sound, lights and video
- September 2025: Royal Observatory closed for 2 years (£77 million renovation)
- Spring 2028: reopening planned
