- 1982: opening Museum (architects E. Verner Johnson & Associates of Boston and Stuck Frier Lane Scott Beisner of Jonesboro)
- November 2011: funds from Reynolds Fondation $7.8 million + funds from Oaklawn Fondation $1.6 million (Digital dome Theater)
- Fall 2014: closed for renovation
- March 7, 2015: reopening (with a planetarium)
