- October 8, 1975: 16m/310s/GOTO GM-15 (Federico S. Ilustre architect)
- June 1991: dome collapsed (earthquake): closed
- August 1996: re-opening
- 2013: renovation (offices) and new library
- March 23, 2017: GOTO Virtuarium X, sound, light system, 224 oriented seats
- 2020: closed (Covid)
- July 2021: reopening after Covid
- October 2021: closed and will destroyed (new planetarium planned in a new building, Rizal Park)
