History
- 1956: bought at Hamburg (Model II upgraded to model III at Zeiss factory Oberkochen)
- Drawn in 1958, built in 1959
- October 12, 1960: opening. 420s
- July 2016: cleaning the dome
- 2021: project to digital
- January 2023: closed for great renovation: digital system, Zeiss III dismantled, oriented, 270 seats, new dome etc. (R90 million =$5million)
- February 1st, 2025: great reopening to the public (RSA-Cosmos 8K)
