History

- June 1913: Atwood Celestial Sphere: 5.18m (17 feet), 692 holes (by Dr Wallace Atwood, geographer and geologist)
- 1959: painting outside to look like a terrestrial globe
- 1995: dismantled
- January 16, 1997: moved to Adler Planetarium (without painting Earth globe)
