History
- 1978: start construction
- 1979: opening planned...not finish
- 1983: first opening but Spitz STS didn't work (years of court battles)
- November 16, 1988: Opening: Spitz Space Voyager/164 seats
- December 2014: Spitz Voyager replaced by 38 seats, new staff
- May 21, 2015: grand re-opening: Sky-Skan fulldome
- 2020: closed (Covid)
- November 2025: still closed (except for some students)
- February 2026: EKU board votes to demolish the Planetarium (too expensive to repair: $11M)
